At a high level, Stellate and GraphQL clients are surprisingly similar. The differences lay in the details, as running a distributed GraphQL cache at the edge has slightly different constraints — namely, the cache is shared between many users and there is a global network of edge locations involved.
That's why we're excited that Andy Richardson, another lead maintainer of the GraphQL client urql as well as the creator of the urql-devtools and subscriptionless, is joining the team here at Stellate as a software engineer. 🎉
